Stained Glass Workshop with Hannah Hazel

2-Day workshop running August 29th & 30th

Starts Aug 29
295 US dollars
1553 Platte St, Unit C100

Service Description

In this two-day workshop, you’ll be guided through the full process of creating your own stained glass flower from start to finish. Whether you’re brand new to stained glass or looking to build on existing skills, you’ll be supported through each step of the process. Each student will leave with their own finished artwork, along with the foundational skills and confidence to continue exploring stained glass on their own. Itinerary: We’ll begin by discussing color theory and exploring how to choose a palette that feels personal to you. Each student will have the freedom to select their own colors and textures, making every flower completely unique and reflective of their individual style. You’ll learn the fundamentals of cutting and grinding glass using a sticker paper pattern, then move through the Tiffany method of stained glass construction, including applying copper foil tape and soldering your piece together. Unlike many beginner-level stained glass workshops, this class also includes framing your flower using lead came, resulting in a more refined and durable finished piece. We’ll finish by learning the final steps of applying patina and polish, attaching chain and completing your artwork so that it’s ready to hang the moment you get home. Overall: By the end of the workshop you’ll have a handmade piece of art, a new set of skills, a deeper understanding of the stained glass process, and the satisfaction of creating something entirely your own. We hope you’ll leave feeling inspired, accomplished, and excited to tell your friends about your new hobby. When: August 29 & 30 from 1-5pm Where: Denver Clayroom (1553 Platte Street, Unit C100) Cost: $295, includes all materials and equipment
